Your Role at KIK
This position focuses on the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Work will be on or around docks, trailers, and manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, inventory documentation, and high quality standards are key to being successful in this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
· Perform inventory functions including but not exclusive to: cycle counts, physical inventory, and product checks.
· Load and receive materials from trailers.
· Load, store, and move materials in and out of racking.
· Perform loading documentation process in accordance with Hazmat rules.
· Operate and use plant’s warehouse management system / RFID.
· Perform packing/quality checks, and document.
· Hand stack palletized product as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
· Be Responsible for the safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area. Help to clean and report any unsafe conditions to your Team Lead, or Supervisor.
· Comply with Good Manufacturing practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant Policies and Procedures.
· Suggest changes in working methods and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
· Communicate with Supervisors and Managers about improvements, timelines of work needed, upcoming PM’s etc.
What You’ll Bring
· Previous Forklift experience of at least 6 months.
· Must be able to safely operate the forklift around co-workers, other forklifts, and the mechanical and electrical equipment for 8-12 hours, depending on shift worked.
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
· Must be able to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach, and climb consistently for up to 12 hours.
· Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
