Specialized Experience Requirement:
GS-08. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07. Examples include:
- Performed limited Timber Sale preparation duties and collected timber presale information data;
- Monitored and inspected Timber Sales with conventional contract requirements and conditions;
- Interpreted and explained Timber Sale contract provisions to the timber operator; and
- Inspected ongoing Timber Sales for compliance with contract clauses.
- Performed Timber Sale preparation duties and collected timber presale information data;
- Administered Timber Sale contracts with conventional contract requirements and conditions;
- Monitored and inspected Timber Sale operations having conventional contract requirements and conditions; and
- Prepared written reports of all sale inspections and made follow-ups on deficiencies.
- Administered Timber Sale contracts; Identified resource concerns on the ground and coordinated applicable corrective measures;
- Performed Timber Sale preparation duties and collected timber presale information data as well as completing appraisals of Timber Sales and selecting of contract provisions based on NEPA documents; and
- Conducted cruises of timber stands to determine volume of merchantable timber, species composition, accessibility, and environmental constraints.
