This is a full-time (Laborers and Helpers) position in the Parks and Recreation Department. An individual in this position will maintain landscaping and hardscaping in City parks, facilities, and rights-of-way. Reports to City Forester/Horticulturist

Examples of Work
- Mow and trim areas; remove weeds & litter; report problems or safety concerns; maintain City provided equipment; assist with overall upkeep of landscape areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities, grounds and landscaped right-of-ways.
- Perform landscape duties such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, weeding and watering the City's trees, shrubs and flowers.
- Operate & perform routine maintenance on light equipment, such as chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, chippers, and power washers.
- Demonstrate safe work zone practices in park and right-of-way locations.
- Assist other departments with major construction projects, special events and the Emergency Operations Team during natural disasters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Subject to 24-hour recall.
