Summary:
Responsible for performing quality landscape services for our customers in a safe and efficient manner. Position reports directly to crew leader.
Essential Job Functions:
- Report at designated start time to review schedule/route.
- Mow grass using commercial mowing equipment.
- Edge curbs and walks using a weedeater.
- Cleanup of property using a backpack blower.
- Bed and pavement weed control.
- Pruning of shrubs and trees.
- Soil preparation for flower and plant installation.
- Installation of flowers, trees and shrubs.
- Cleanup of beds during spring operations.
- Edge beds using a Little Wonder Bed Shaper.
- Apply mulch to landscape beds.
- Fall cleanup of leaves, perennials and debris.
- Load/Unload equipment onto trucks and trailers.
- Secure equipment for transport to properties.
- Clean trucks & equipment.
- General equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Walk for long periods of time.
- Stand, bend & squat for up to 10 or more hours per day.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Carry a 20-lb. backpack blower on your back.
- Use companies mobile time entry software.
Technical Skills:
- Use various tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, pruners, handsaws, rakes, pitch forks, shovels, etc.
