What you'll do
- Operate, maintain, and clean all production equipment in the CBU.
- Perform all responsibilities of hourly positions in order to cover for breaks and days off as needed.
- Maintain attendance records for all hourly employees.
- Actively promote and participate in a team-based work environment.
- Help plan and organize daily production activities to meet the needs of the company.
- Monitor and review all production related paperwork.
- Develop and ensure regulatory compliance with documentation and procedures including HACCP, SOP's, SSOP's, GMP's.
- Effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from managers, teams, and hourly employees.
- Provide training and leadership to all CBU employees as needed.
- Provide coverage for nightshift Dock 8 Forman as needed.
- Oversee operations on the loading dock and production lift drivers.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback.
- Provide leadership and guidelines for the team to follow.
- Establish goals and set priorities for the team to meet departmental goals.
- Interpret company guidelines and policies.

- Due to the significant amount of steps/stairs contained in our production facility, employees must have the ability to navigate steps/stairs in a safe manner.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak English, and perform basic math.
- Must be able to convert units of weights and measures.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and follow written materials including operator manuals, SOP's and SSOP's.
- Must FNG's Basic Skills Assessment for this position.
- Must pass the Mechanical Aptitude Assessment.
- Must be proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have working knowledge of FNG applications including Valiant, Reliant and Tribforce.
- MSSC, CQIA, or lean bronze certification preferred.
- Two years production, manufacturing, or packaging experience required.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 44 pounds, with frequent lifting of 35 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a chilled 35-degree environment.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to motivate others.
- Must be detail and goal oriented.
- Must be able to work well with others as part of a team-based work environment.
- Must fully understand and be able to utilize FNG's RFX system for issuing & returning packaging materials, inventory control, shipping & receiving finished goods, and training new employees.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class "A" Forklift license within 6 weeks.
- Must be able to train and certify other employees in the use of a forklift.
- Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work for self and others to meet business needs.
- This position has leadership responsibilities and leadership expectations.
