Beer Capitol in Sussex, WI now hiring for a Forecasting & Inventory Control Manager. The Forecasting & Inventory Control Manager is responsible for forecasting product inventory levels for a defined business unit(s) and overseeing the purchasing and monitoring of optimal inventory levels. This role is also responsible for developing and managing business-unit quality assurance programs for the business unit(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the monthly forecast for all major suppliers, generally forecasting 90- 120 days in advance depending on the products and brands.
  • Oversees a team of purchasing/Inventory Control specialists and is responsible for the timely acquisition of all products and monitoring of optimal inventory levels.
  • Works with sales leadership to adjust and anticipate changes in market trends, programs, PFPs, prices and promotions that affect forecast and inventory levels.
  • Utilizes internal and external supplier tools to create accurate forecasts.
  • Collaborates with forecasting, inventory and QA specialists across all business units to balance inventory, ensure quality standards, and share best practices.
  • Facilitates bi-weekly/periodic inventory meetings with sales and brand management.
  • Manages forecasts and inventory levels and works to limit out-of-stock products.
  • Coaches, trains and motivates team members.
  • Participates in supplier meetings on system, operational and forecasting process updates and educates team members as needed.
  • Minimizes spoilage and company loss of product by ensuring accurate forecasts.
  • Collaborates with all FBG warehouses to balance inventory and limit out of stock products.
  • Maintain supplier credentials as it pertains to quality assurance programs.
  • Trains, educates and maintains records and documentation on supplier quality audits for sales and operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintains advanced knowledge of product portfolio and promotions.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality assurance standards
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Basic eoStar knowledge, conduct inventory, navigate pricing, deal structures and submit orders.
  • Knowledge of supplier marketing guidelines and appropriate use of brands in displays and partnerships
  • Familiarity with key state and federal regulations governing alcohol distribution services such as legal drinking age, licensing, use of free goods and outdated product replacement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of forecasting, purchasing or Inventory Control is required; industry (distribution, hospitality, supplier or beverage industry) experience is preferred.
  • Leadership experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand while working at a computer workstation for an extended period of time.
