To this end, our marketing department is looking for a Forecast Analyst to help analyze and predict enrollments along with campaign performance.

About the role...

The Forecast Analysthelps Road Scholar understand how direct mail, email, and digital marketing campaigns drive enrollment demand over the course of time, creating an overall forecast utilized by the entire organization to plan marketing, staffing and overall organizational performance. This highly analytical role is designed specifically for someone looking to apply their quantitative degree. The ideal individual will be curious, energetic and will possess an innate desire to become an expert in analytics. The ideal candidate will have past experience working in a forecasting environment.

Road Scholar offers a remote-first work environment. The compensation range for this exempt level salaried position is $63,000 - $75,000.

You will...

  • Create or improve existing model, incorporating numerous factors to forecast daily demand
  • Continually update model with most recent trends, updated campaign information, and actual demand
  • Create projections for each direct marketing campaign based on circulation, segmentation and seasonal influences
  • Deliver updated forecasts to stakeholders each quarter
  • Utilize the Road Scholar business intelligence tool to create reports and dashboards
  • Roll up forecasted demand to various levels, including week, year, channel, campaign, and segment
  • Maintain reporting to compare actuals to forecast at the various levels and share results with teams
  • Coordinate with partner vendor on ongoing data alignment to maximize campaign contact optimization
  • Create weekly white sheets showing where and why demand projections were missed
  • Make recommendations around actions to be taken to achieve forecasted demand levels
  • Provide support on related analytical projects, as needed

You need...

  • 3+ years relevant experience, with a BA/BS degree in quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, accounting, computer science, economics, sciences or business
  • Familiarity with query or reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, SAS, Business Objects, SPSS, Access, or SQL
  • Advanced Excel Skills required
  • Experience working with large data sets and disparate sources
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work independently with careful attention to detail and follow-up
  • Ability to self-monitor and complete projects on time; can deal effectively with unexpected demands; flexible.
  • Highly computer literate; ability to learn new software quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
