The Shop foreman is responsible for running an efficient and profitable Service department. Operates the shop at maximum production, building a loyal customer base, maintaining good associate relationships, obtaining fix it right objectives, maintaining training certifications and achieving CSI/ CVP goals.
Requirements
1. Maintains a positive safe work environment where all associates are capable of performing to the highest level to satisfy our customers.
2. Follows service repair process and guides, coaches technicians onprocess implementation and improvement as needed.
3. Follows service ASR process and multipoint inspection, coaches technicians on process implementation and improvement as needed.
4. Follows vehicle brand warranty process and guides, coaches technicians on warranty documentation and assist in process implementation and improvement as needed.
5. Inspects "Warranty Add on" and dates and signs repair order as required by manufacturer.
6. Monitors technician hours and completes daily productionforms.
7. Monitors individual team & team leader performance.
8. Provides Daily updates to Service Manager, advisors and team leaders on Monthly CVP performance.
9. Coaches and counsels technicians on production performance; holds technicians accountable if they are in a guarantee.
10. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
11. Quality checks completed jobs as required. Road test with customers as needed.
12. Accounts for all service documents, ensures that none are missing.
13. Maintains a clean and safe Service department. Advises management of any repairs or safety concerns that require immediate or future attention.
14. Assists service manager in all aspects of shop management, including technician performance, attendance, and safety.
15. Creates new strategies to create and grow business.
16. Encourages technicians to continue their factory and ASE training to meet all required manufacturer requirements.
