Food Stylist

Description:

The Food Stylist works with a broad team of creatives, photographers, clients, production personnel and others to create high quality and aesthetically pleasing food images for print and video content advertising across multiple media platforms. A strong background with food or prop styling is needed.

This is a full-time position working on-site and in studio. This is a diverse and hands-on job. The role involves helping in developing new recipes, sourcing ingredients or props by working with buyers or shopping for them, and preparing food. Food stylists may collaborate with other Food Stylists, or creatives on best practices and food and photography trends.

Required

Creativity is the most essential asset for a Food Stylist, as they are responsible for creating visually appealing food presentations. They must have a strong knowledge of industry trends, and strong understanding of what appeals to a clients' customers. Food stylist should have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure their work is efficient, timely, and meets all necessary specifications.

· 3-5 years' experience as a Food Stylist with knowledge of food, cooking techniques and recipe development

· Advanced degree in Food and Nutrition, photography, art or design

· Culinary arts or equivalent training and/or experience

Additional qualifications include:

Supervisory experience helpful

Must be creative and have a strong conceptual ability.

Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as working with others to provide training and direction. Ability to communicate directions to others. Ability to perform well and stay organized under pressure. Proficiency in using computer

Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Standing for long periods of time while using cooking appliances and various equipmennt

· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

· Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility.

· Complete design projects as assigned for a wide variety of clients

· Work with the Studio Director to ensure client objectives are met

· Collaborate with designers, photographers, and other team members to meet production schedules
