NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
To aid in providing a nutritious daily meal in a clean and efficient setting including food preparation, cashier duties and cleanup.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lower body strength to stand and walk throughout the work day.
- Upper body strength to lift and carry 50 pounds more than 20 feet throughout the work day.
- Visual acuity and stamina to work with computerized registers, calculator, and kitchen equipment.
ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS:
- Non air conditioned building.
- Occasional exposure to weather extremes.
- Occasional exposure to freezing temperatures of freezer and coolers.
EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, OR FORMAL TRAINING:
-High School or General Equivalency Degree.
-A combination of education and experience that prepares applicant for this job.
-Food experience required, managerial experience preferred.

- Coordinate daily schedule with manager.
- Set up serving line and/or salad bar as assigned by manager.
- Prepare or assist in preparation of food as assigned by manager.
- Cashier during serving time (+ paper work as assigned by manager).
- Clean up or assist in after lunch clean-up as assigned by manager.
- Maintain kitchen in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
- Notify manager of possible shortages in supplies or inventory needed in a timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information concerning students and staff.
- Maintains positive communication skills in working with the food service team, students, district staff, parents and public at all times.
- Do any job reasonably requested by manager.
