Job Description:The Food Server performs a variety of tasks in preparing, transporting, and serving food to patients, staff and visitors. Follows standardized recipes and demonstrates proper portioning to prevent waste and assure high-quality products. Sets up workstation in a timely manner and restocks supplies and equipment as necessary. Uses proper chemicals and temperatures in sanitizing trays, dishes, utensils and equipment. Responsible for washing and transporting dishes to service area for use.
Responsibilities
- Performing food preparation duties such as rinsing, peeling, slicing, and dicing fruit and vegetables.
- Weighing and measuring ingredients.
- Wrapping, date-labeling, and storing food items.
- Cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, utensils, and service station.
- Following established recipes to prepare menu items.
- Following guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer Service Experience
- 1 yr of similar work experience
