Job Summary:
This position is vital to achieving customer service excellence in locations. Is passionate about delivering authentic and unforgettable experiences to guests. Responsible for preparing food according to recipe, food presentation, station merchandising, greeting guests, and providing specialized and attentive service.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and builds food items according to the recipe collection and expectations.
- Properly stores food, adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
- Prepares and sets up work stations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, and other station equipment. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations.
- Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
- Serves fresh, vibrant, and nutritionally-balanced food to guests while ensuring satisfaction and anticipating guests’ needs.
- Replenishes food items and ensures product is stocked to appropriate levels.
- Maintains customer service excellence and a positive attitude toward guests, partners, and peers. Utilizes the WEST commitment with each interaction.
- Adheres to Harvest Table Culinary Group’s safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation practices.
- Knows and understands Harvest Table Culinary Group’s Three Pillars and Five Food Commitments.
- Maintains a clean and welcoming work station. Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils as needed.
- Utilizes proper food handling procedures and food safety knowledge.
- Takes samples of all food items before serving guests, following the ServSafe approved method.
- Maintains a positive attitude; smiles and greets customers as they approach the serving line.
- Escalates guest concerns to a supervisor or manager using the LEARN process.
- Communicates and interacts in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintains daily temperature logs using calibrated digital thermometer.
- Uses working knowledge of recipes to effectively service guests and answer questions about menu items on the line.
- Assists peers in setting up and breaking down stations as directed by managers.
- Separates and removes waste, placing it in appropriate receptacles.
- Completes production and waste logs.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by cart.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No direct supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Previous Food Service experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Knowledge of various food preparation methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations, such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated by personalized and meaningful interaction.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Position requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of up to 25 pounds.
