- This position is as needed, full time hours not guaranteed
- 1st- 1 for 7A-3P
- 10th- 1 for 3P-7P
- 11th- 1 for 3P-7P

- 23rd- 1 for 7A-3P, 1 for 3P-7P
- 24th- 1 for 7A-3P, 1 for 3P-7P
- 30tg- 1 for 7A-7P
Job Responsibilities:
- Will perform entry level work in the preparation and/or service of food to Residents.
- Will assist in prepping food and equipment for meals and snack and/or drink passes.
- Will wash and clean dishes, pans, equipment, tables, chairs, and floors as directed.
- Will assist in delivering and/or retrieving food/dish carts from the Medical Center next door as needed.
- Will stock shelves and count inventories.
- Will dispose of trash as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Will ladle food from steam pans onto dishes and serve Veterans in the dining room or in their room as directed by the Dietary Department Supervisor.
- Must possess a current and valid WV Food Handler's Card.
- Must be able to read and write in English. Each Resident has a meal plan that must be followed.

- Must have knowledge of the equipment used in the preparation and services of food, such as steam tables and pans, dish carts, food carts, temperature controls, dishwashers, can openers, ice machines, beverage dispensers, coffee makers, etc.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, sit, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Will assist Residents with their meals as directed.
- Must always remain professional, polite, and respectful to our Veteran's, as well as to other staff. Any issues must be reported to the Dietary Department's Supervisor, the Facility's Assistant Administrator, or Administrator, in that order.
- Required to attend orientation where they will learn about dementia, elderly patients, our facility, and expectations.
- Must have one (1) year of experience in the Food Service industry which must be evidenced on their resume or application along with contact information for verification.
- An up-to-date proof of Tb is required.
