Gaudenzia is one of the largest nonprofit providers of treatment to people with substance use and co-occurring disorders in the nation. We operate in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Who We’re Looking For
Your responsibilities in this role may include:
- Ensure timely and nutritious meals for clients.
- Ensure the timely and accurate ordering, inventory and proper storage of food.
- Adhere to menus established by the Dietician in accordance with proper nutritional guidelines and School Lunch Program criteria, including the maintenance of portion control.
- Comply with Department of Health regulation re: sanitation, operation, maintenance and education for all kitchen activities.
- Supervise resident in the kitchen department and ensure that kitchen operations are maintained in accordance with the DOH regulation and facility policy and procedures manual.
- Compile reports and submit bills pertaining to Kitchen functions to Corporate Office.
- Meet with staff supervisor two times weekly to discuss existing problems and communicate the status of the kitchen.
- Maintain accurate records for School Lunch Program, JCAH credentials, and any other programs in place.
- Obtain/Maintain Food Manager’s Certification where applicable.
- Supervise all cooks.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and/or programs.
- Plan and prepare special diets as necessary; assist with planning of nutritionally sound menus for other programs as required.
- All responsibilities as assigned in the Unit Unique Job Description.
- All other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or Program Director.

Education/Training: Associates Degree or equivalent training in related field of study plus on y3ear supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of food preparation.
- Knowledge of food costs control.
- Knowledge of special dietary needs and ability to plan menus to meet these needs. .
- Ability to plan nutritional meals meeting the needs of the client population being served.
- Ability to produce a large volume of meals on a daily basis.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and gain their confidence and cooperation. .
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff and other agencies, clients, and the public.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- High School education or equivalent.
