Food Scientist Iv

This is a Contract to Hire/Contract/ FTE position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract to Hire/Contract/ FTE

Location: Glenview, IL (Onsite)

Role: Food Scientist IV

Primary Skills: Food Science

Role Description: TheFood Scientist IV must have at least 5+ years of experience. Food Scientist to aid in ingredient applications and functionality evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the development of new ingredient technology for food and beverage products

• Conduct bench top and pilot plant trials to optimize formulation and processes

• Perform functional evaluations of new ingredients and record results

• Perform sensory testing of prototypes and coordinate expert panel sensory tests

• Coordinate team evaluations on a regular basis

• Submit prototypes for analytical testing and compile results

• Communicate with suppliers for ingredient requests and information

• Write progress reports

• Maintain and organize laboratory and supplies.

Requirements:

• Must be available to work on-site in Glenview, IL

• Familiarity with the Agile specification system.

• At minimum, B.S. in Food Science or similar field and 5 years of experience

• Ability to provide sensory descriptions of foods and beverages

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good record-keeping and organization

• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
