Food Safety & Quality Assurance Leader

Job Overview
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Food Safety. At Yoder's Southern Creamery, our goal is to make amazing ice cream that is safe for everyone to enjoy, and we are looking for someone to lead our Food Safety program.

Yoder's Southern Creamery is SQF certified with an established Food Safety program. The ideal candidate would have experience as an SQF Practitioner and have the following certifications - HACCP, PCQI, and Internal Auditing

In addition to Food Safety, this position oversees all aspects of Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance including allergen management, employee training, recall program, supply chain controls, process validations, product label controls, environmental monitoring program, product & ingredient analysis, and various programs that ensure compliance with all levels of food regulations.

Job Duties
- Perform quality inspections and analyze product samples to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance procedures and processes
- Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Test fixtures and equipment as needed for quality testing
- Participate in project management activities related to Quality Assurance initiatives
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of Quality Assurance activities and results

Qualifications
- Experience working in an SQF program.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using quality management software systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
