The Farmers Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. An exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for providing superior customer service are necessary for all applicants. Applicants with experience working for first-class hospitality organizations will be strongly considered.
Job Summary:A Food Runner delivers food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately. They act as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff within the restaurant by communicating food orders to chefs and paying attention to priorities (e.g., food allergies). A Food Runner always provides exemplary customer service in cooperation with the entire team.
Must be available to work a minimum of 3 shifts which includes weeknights and weekends. Weeknight shift begins at 4:00PM- 9:30-10:00PM and weekend could either be day or night shift.
Job Functions:
- Attends and Participates in all training sessions and team meetings.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
- Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome.
- Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately.
- Uphold sanitation and food safety principles.
- Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash.
- Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory.
- Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
- Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food.
- Assist in setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, and decorations.
- Cater to the guest’s requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service.
- Performs all assigned side work and keeps host stand and lobby area clean.
- Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
- Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management.
- Reports to the Restaurant Manager
- A Food Runner must be at least 16 years old. Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food, and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
- Available to work weekends, day and evening shifts and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Easter, & Mother's Day)
- Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance.
