Reporting Relationships
Position Reports to: Kitchen Manager and General Kitchen ManagerSubordinate Staff: None
Basic Functions:
Primarily responsible for running food from the kitchen to the dining room. Proper food delivery etiquette.Essential Functions:
- Proper dining room delivery etiquette and carrying plates safely and effectively.
- Learning all restaurant floor plan and table numbers.
- Wiping plates before delivery, for proper food presentation
- Repeating table numbers back to expediters and or managers when running food to dining room for accuracy.
- Emptying & replacing bus pans on the expo trays
- Restocking, cleaning and prepping food items, condiments and kitchen utensils for shift.
- Reading food tickets, garnishing sauces, soups, plates, etc.
Qualifications
Knowledge
- Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.
- Knowledge of dinging room floor plans and table numbers
- Knowledge of entire menu, names and how every food item should be garnished and the visual aspect of every entrée for consistency.
Skills/Aptitudes
Understanding basic command of the English language and ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.Working Conditions
- This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
- Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
- The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
- Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
Works under supervision Kitchen Managers and General Kitchen Manager.
