Job Description
- Must utilize the manufacturing instructions on the recipes to ensure that all ingredients are added in the proper proportions and in the correct order
- Must adhere to approved recipes in the formulation of finished products
- Must ensure that all containers containing ingredients are completely covered and properly labeled with product ID and date
- Accurately weigh the finished product as it is loaded into containers
- Ensure that each container is identified properly using the proper lids/labeling/dating
- All work areas must be clean and safe from a food safety and food security vantage point
- Follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules on a continuous basis while handling finished product
- Be aware of allergens in products and follow allergen control procedures to avoid cross-contamination of allergens.
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in food production
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a cold environment ( 34 degrees)
