Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety Process Improvement Specialist establishes standards for products and processes and suggest modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products. In this role, you will collaborate with multifunctional teams to identify and mitigate risks. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to address process requirements and concerns, as well as collaborate on audits.
Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with varying cross functional teams to solve moderately complex issues, Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement plans, provide updates on project objectives, performance measures, and issues, and routinely evaluate our production processes, raw materials, suppliers and vendors to ensure that established standards are being met.
  • Address customer requirements and concerns and collaborate on quality assurance audits.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects, nonconformities or other quality failures.
  • Ensure compliance with formal external and internal quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Experience
  • Advanced information/research skills.
  • Intermediate project management skills.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and technical skills.
  • Deep understanding of food manufacturing equipment function and maintenance.
