Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our Chinese restaurant in the kitchen! We need someone who has a great memory, used to fast paced pressured environment and willing to help other staff as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistent food quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant is required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
