Fluid Analysis Lab Technician

Your work as a Fluid Analysis Lab Tech will provide our customers with a clear picture of what is happening inside their equipment. Responsibilities:

• Must learn to navigate Caterpillar’s Laboratory Information Management System and other business applications to maintain customer accounts and equipment.
• Registration of oil, coolant, and fuel sample information.
• Assists with sample preparation and organization.
• Performs daily qualitative physical tests, i.e. antifreeze, water, and fuel, for machine lubricating oils.
• Cleans and maintains lab equipment and facilities.
• Conducts routine administrative functions for the lab.
• Begins operative training of analytical equipment relative to oil, coolant, and fuel analysis.
• Begins training to become familiar with mobile heavy equipment fluids and subsequent analytical analysis and data.
• Participates with supervisor in the development of objectives for the laboratory and the fluids analysis program.

• This is an entry level position. Preference to an AS/AAS degree in physical science/chemistry and mathematics. Possible consideration to a high school diploma with proven lab.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft products)
