Job Purpose
Job Description
Develop and Maintain measurement expertise across multiple metering technologies and applications within the Petroleum Industry
Develop an understanding of uncertainty and statistical analysis per API in regard to measurement equipment/systems
Work with the Flow Research and Test Center to provide support to keep and continuously improve on our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
Design and Qualify measurement equipment and process in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, the Guide to Uncertainty of Measurement and relevant NIST Handbooks
Perform management of change related to equipment and process updates
Writing of technical papers to support measurement topics within the industry.
Develop and apply best measurement practices knowledge to capital improvements of production and Flow Research and Test center.
You are meant for this job if:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field
Basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and computational fluid software and analysis.
• Basic knowledge of product Weights and Measures certification
• Able to learn and perform statistical and uncertainty calculations in accordance with API standards
• Able to learn Temperature and Pressure Measurement and equipment calibration
• Able to learn Gravimetric and Mass calibration processes
• Able to learn API Chapters 1, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13
Awareness of auditing techniques and practices (for ISO compliance)
• Ability to work with technical personnel from external customers to solve measurement challenges
• A desire and ability to work in a team environment
• Presentation skills
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
• Understanding with Word and Excel, analytical and logical reasoning
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent command of the English Language
