Looking for some to ensure our floral department is vibrant, welcoming, and efficiently operated. You will be responsible for the care, presentation, and sales of our cut flowers, contributing to an environment where our customers can find the perfect blooms for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floral Care and Maintenance: Ensure all cut flowers are fresh, watered, and properly cared for. This includes trimming stems, changing water, and removing wilted or damaged flowers.
- Display and Presentation: Creatively arrange flowers and related products to create eye-catching displays that enhance customer shopping experience and promote sales.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, participate in stock ordering, and manage product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, offering advice on flower care, arrangement choices, and answering any queries they may have.
- Sales and Promotions: Assist in developing promotional strategies for the flower department, engage with customers to understand their needs, and suggest products to increase sales.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other store departments to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers and participate in cross-merchandising opportunities.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Passion for flowers and knowledge of various types of blooms and their care requirements.
- Previous experience in retail, especially in a floral department, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Creativity and a good eye for design, particularly in creating attractive flower arrangements and displays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
- Basic numerical skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
