We are currently seeking an experienced flower designer to join our team at Flowers by John Kent.
As a flower designer, you will have the opportunity to showcase your artistic talents and contribute to creating beautiful floral arrangements for our customers. This position is open for both full-time and part-time roles.
Responsibilities:
- Create and arrange floral bouquets, centerpieces, and other flower arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate events.
- Select flowers, foliage, and accessories that match the client’s preferences and budget.
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively assisting and engaging with customers, answering their questions, and offering expert advice on flower choices and arrangements.
- Maintain inventory of fresh flowers, plants, and floral supplies, ensuring they are properly stocked and organized.
- Care for and handle flowers carefully, ensuring their freshness and quality are preserved.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest floral design trends and techniques and incorporate them into your work.
- Assist with general shop duties as needed, such as processing orders, managing the cash register, and helping with store upkeep.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a flower designer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- In-depth knowledge of different flower types, colors, and seasonal availability.
- Strong creativity and artistic skills, with an eye for detail and color coordination.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining quality standards.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Experience with inventory management and basic computer skills is a plus.
