Company Overview:

Lily Rose is a floral and event décor company, specializing in “Spatial Design” where floral arrangements and designs are personalized for the individual’s needs. Lily Rose is responsible for providing floral arrangements for the interior space for 53 By the Sea, The Terrace By the Sea, along with many other weddings and events in Hawaii.

Summary:

The Floral Design Assistant upholds Ocean Investments, LLC’s company Core Values, Vision, and Mission, while working closely with the Floral Manager, Assistant Floral Manager, and/or Floral Designer. The Floral Design Assistant ensures that all orders are fulfilled accurately and in an efficient manner. This position entails working with and interacting with vendors and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following other duties may be assigned.

• Ensures prompt, accurate, and safe delivery of all floral arrangements.
• Sets up and stages all floral products for delivery
• Properly sets up and breaks down floral artwork designs, products, and/or props for all events.
• Accepts deliveries; pick up and unload all floral products. Processes and prepares all items for proper storing and/or production
• Creates and fill orders for all events including holidays and any other special occasions.
• Identifies and works with a wide range of foliage and flowers
• Waters plants, cuts, conditions, and cleans flowers and foliage for storage.
• Maintains all floral arrangement (watered or fresh) for pending orders.
• Maintains window displays and designs to enhance the shop’s image.
• Trims materials and arranges bouquets, wreaths, terrariums, and other items
• Prepares products for future events
• Provides information to customers regarding care, maintenance, and handling of flowers and foliage
• Upkeeps all shop displays and inventory
• Ensures that the establishment and facilities are kept clean

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 1 – 2 years of experience in customer service
• 2 years of relevant floral experience required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Japanese speaking abilities preferred but not required
• Must be a creative, detail-oriented person with honed floral skills
• Open-minded and willing to learn
• Proficient in answering phone/taking orders
• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License required; Employment is contingent upon meeting company drivers abstract requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
