Floral Assistant

Overview
Seeking a creative and passionate budding floral designer who appreciates the beauty of flowers and the art of arrangement to join our team. As a Floral Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with the most beautiful flowers from all around the world and create breathtaking arrangements that will leave a lasting impression.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace
• Accept floral deliveries
• Clean and prepare flowers for arranging
• Create floral arrangements under supervision of lead florist
• Deliver arrangements and decor rental items to events
• Complete quality control of delivered event items
• Construct complex arrangements at event site, as part of delivery team
• Pickup rental items and cleanup florals from event sites, returning them to shop
• Prepare excess or used flowers for donation
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction

Skills

• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs of flowers, water buckets, ladders and other objects
• Ability to climb ladders comfortably up to 12 feet
• Ability to work while standing
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain order in the workspace
• Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers
• Drivers License and clean driving record
• Knowledge of flowers or experience in floral design is a plus

Important Notes

Wedding days are time sensitive, so it is very important that the assistant is always on time and works efficiently and effectively throughout the day with the guidance of the lead florist.

Saturdays are critical days in our business, so expect weekend work hours.

On weeks when multiple large events are happening, some late evenings and earlier mornings may be required.

Flower arranging and setup requires a great deal of standing, moving, and carrying. Please only apply if you are physically capable of comfortably performing in a job with this level of physical activity.
