Flooring Sales Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

Position Overview:

As a Flooring Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting guests with their flooring needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring they find the perfect flooring solutions for their projects. You will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining product knowledge, and delivering outstanding customer service in the flooring department.

Responsibilities:

1. Guest Assistance:
   • Greet and assist guests in the flooring department, understanding their needs and preferences.
   • Provide in-depth product knowledge and educate customers on various flooring options, including materials, styles, and installation methods.
   • Guide guests through the selection process, offering recommendations based on their specific requirements.
2. Sales and Product Knowledge:
   • Achieve and exceed sales targets by actively engaging with guests and promoting flooring products.
   • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product features, and advancements in flooring technology.
   • Collaborate with the sales team to create effective promotions and marketing strategies for flooring products.
3. Guest Service:
   • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
   • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.
4. Merchandising and Inventory:
   • Ensure the flooring department is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing.
   • Monitor and manage inventory levels, collaborating with the inventory control team to optimize stock levels.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with other departments to provide a seamless shopping experience for guests.
   • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to stay informed about new products and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in retail sales, with a focus on flooring or related home improvement products.
• Strong knowledge of various flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Sales-driven with a customer-centric approach.
• Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions and product information retrieval.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in Flooring Sales or related field is a plus.

Availability Needed:
Saturday rotation / Closed on Sunday
Store Hours are 8a-7p (Monday-Friday) 8a-6pm on Saturday / No Sundays
