POSITION OVERVIEW

As Flooring Engineer, you will be responsible for making repairs and improvements to an already great property. Your attention to detail and ability to lead a diverse team will ensure the functionality of our resort and the safety and satisfaction of every guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Maintenance calls in the casino, restaurants, guest rooms and other areas of the property as needed
  • Carpet and Tile including: Repair and replacement of all carpets; Repair and replacement of all tile and marble; Repair of broken curbs and sidewalks
  • Maintenance of Executive Offices, Ballroom and Meeting Rooms, and corporate offices
  • Assist Engineering Department wherever needed to promote the safety and well-being of the guests/employees and to protect the facility as directed by the supervisor
  • Ability to handle independent work responsibility and judgment
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property
  • Handles multiple tasks and works a variety of shifts necessary to complete assigned projects
  • Work closely with other departments
  • Maintain a clean DMV record
  • Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report to the department leader and Risk Management every 6 months
  • Immediately notify department leader of any changes to the Nevada Driver’s License status
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least four years of similar experience
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • General Office Machines
  • Possess general maintenance skills to include experience with hand tools, knife skills, lighting knowledge, electrical, plumbing
  • Blueprint reading
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Polished appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls. The Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 100 pounds and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
