POSITION DETAILS:

SHIFT: 5PM-1AM

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday with rotating weekends

HOURLY RATE: $19.50

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, performs routine cleaning and maintenance duties in an assigned area within the hospital or Health Care setting to ensure the health, safety, and environmental standard for everyone within the facility. This position will regularly engage in cleaning and disinfecting as assigned by the client which will include but not be limited to mopping, sweeping, dusting, laundry, and other cleaning related duties in both patient occupied and unoccupied areas.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

The following reflects managements definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

• Performs carpet, floor, upholstery cleaning and all other cleaning tasks by following policies and procedures and product recommendations.
• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning equipment before and after each use.
• Report to the director and supervisor any equipment issues timely.
• Uses chemicals and supplies wisely
• Follows safe working procedures and reports any safety concerns to the supervisor and director.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination
• Complete CCHHS drug and medical testing required by Cook County
• COVID -19 vaccination record card with booster
• Seasonal flu vaccination required
• At least 1 year of previous janitorial experience preferred
• Willing to undergo a background check
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions
• Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
