We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in our facility. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our employees and visitors. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine floor cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Strip, seal, wax, and buff floors to maintain their shine and durability
- Inspect floors for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed
- Collaborate with custodial staff to ensure overall cleanliness of the facility
- Adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness and safety
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in floor care or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of different floor surfaces and appropriate cleaning methods
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment such as buffers and carpet cleaners
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
