Floor Care Technician

Job Summary: The Floor Crew Worker will perform on-site custodial floor work as outlined in contract specifications. 

Essential Functions:

• Assist with periodical work such as, but not limited to: stripping and sealing of floors, carpet cleaning, and window washing. 
• Dust mop, wet mop assigned work area of contract to prepare for buffing, top scrubbing, stripping, and sealing. 
• Ability to learn and perform custodial procedures and techniques and to use light and heavy custodial equipment. 
• Attend all required agency meetings and training sessions. 
• Ability to understand and consistently follow all required safety procedures and policies. 
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to employees and customers. 
• Ability to relate to and understand the needs of disabled and disadvantaged individuals. 
• Ability to lift up to seventy-five (75) lbs. with assistance over 50 lbs., and always using lifting belt correctly. 
• Capable of working on feet for long periods of time. 
• Ability to lift and move up and down stairs. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings. 
• Position is considered essential personnel and will be required to report to work in inclement weather. 
• Must have reliable transportation, and ability to get to job site and to other sites as needed.
