Stepping Stone Daycare Latham is a childcare center that has been located in Latham/Cohoes for 32 years! We have loyal staff and families, both of which make this a great place to work. We are looking for reliable, self-motivated team players to join us immediately.
This job is for a fixed schedule with a 30 minute lunch break each day.
Responsibilities:
- Cover breaks for teachers
- Collaborate with lead teachers and other teaching assistants to ensure smooth daily operations of the classroom
-Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum and lesson plans for children in a daycare setting
- Monitor and supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Play with and read to children
- Help prepare simple meals and snacks
- Clean as needed, wash dishes
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtime, nap time, diaper changes, and toileting
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable transportation
- Be able to sit on the floor to play with children
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred requirements:
CDA or Associates Degree
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential

Pay: $15.75 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 45 per week
