Job description

This position is accountable for the delivery of exceptional Customer Service through the efficient managing of customer interactions and assuming a lead role in developing new customer relationships and enhancing existing relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Ø Recommends, explains, and opens new deposit accounts for customers.

Ø Opens and closes safety deposit boxes.

Ø Handles customer complaints related to the bank’s services, explains service charges, and follows through on misdirected items or errors.

Ø Researches and resolves customer problems by serving as a liaison between the customer and the appropriate bank area.

Ø Vault / Head Teller duties

Ø Asks questions and actively listens to determine how best to refer and cross sell.

Ø Answers inquiries and provides information on various accounts, loan balances, and other banking services.

Ø Provides notary public service.

Ø Is responsible for building relationships with customers by selling a full range of retail banking services, identifying and referring other sales opportunities to appropriate areas and/or persons.

Ø Identifies customer's needs and provides information (rates, terms, features, benefits, restrictions, fees, disclosures) to assist customers in making decisions which suit their financial situation.

Ø Completes and prepares all necessary product and service documentation by entry into document platform ensuring that customer needs are promptly and accurately satisfied and all credit quality, security and legal requirements are met.

Ø May also perform various administrative and other duties related to the bank’s lending and operational functions, including, but not limited to: Assisting tellers as needed with duties such as : Balancing ATM, logging night drops, assisting tellers with balancing and inquiries

Ø Initiates wire transfers.

Ø Enters check orders.

Ø Creates and updates IRA files.

Ø Inputs order for checks and savings bonds ensuring accuracy and transmission to processor.

Ø Maintains ATM/Debit Card application files.

Ø Maintains appropriate inventory levels of Savings Bonds, Travelers Checks, etc

Ø Responsible for adherence to bank’s operational compliance and security policies and applicable state and federal laws.

Ø Is committed to on-going professional development and actively participates and advocates the bank’s training and development programs and commitment to learning.

Ø Participates from time to time with community organizations and community projects.

Ø Performs other tasks requested by manager as they relate to the bank and its functions.

Ø This position is expected to understand the significant control procedures and the compliance policies related to day-to-day job duties. All control procedures that this position has responsibility for accomplishing, as well as those for which it has direct oversight, will be accomplished according to policies and procedures. This position is responsible for understanding and following all federal and regulatory policies, and is responsible for the compliance of all direct reports. This position is responsible for disclosing to the Asset-Liability Committee all commitments, contracts or other agreements that it enters into or changes, or that it may be aware of from other areas of the company.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

Ø High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ø Presents a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental and eternal representatives.

Ø Requires a general knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures and various departmental policies.

Ø Strong written and verbal skills.

Ø Ability to use various office equipment, including adding machine, typewriter, computer, basic e-mail, internet, Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Ø Strong sales and service skills; demonstrated ability to positively persuade customers and to identify and satisfy their needs.

Ø Basic math skills.

Ø 6-12 months experience in a sales and service environment.

Ø Understand bank policies and procedures

Ø Have the ability to effectively handle all routine and complex transactions at the branch

Ø Knowledge and understanding of, and adherence to, the Bank’s Code of Conduct

Ability to Relocate:

  • Shepherdsville, KY 40165: Relocate before starting work (Required)
