JOB TITLE : Staff RN, Float Pool Weekend
REPORTS TO : Unit Director / Manager
POSITION SUMARY : The RN is assigned the responsibility for assessing, planning, delegating, implementing, evaluating and coordinating the nursing care delivered to critical care, emergency and/ or medical surgical/cardiac patients during their stay. This RN has the responsibility for the education of individual patients and their specific health care needs. Other responsibilities include effective communication between the patient, family, supervisor/manager, physician(s), and other health care providers. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred. BSN preferred. One year experience in a critical care or emergency setting is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Current California RN license and BLS certification required. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change. PALS preferred and provided within 90 days of hire. Hemodynamic monitoring certificate required within 120 days of hire or status change. Basic dysrhythmia certificate required within 120 days of hire or status change. CEN, CCN preferred.
