What does a Fleet Mechanic do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Fleet Lead Mechanic is responsible to assist Fleet Supervisor with the daily operations of the Fleet Maintenance department within the designated area along with ensuring that all Fleet equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable manner.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that preventative maintenance programs are being followed at all assigned locations
- Perform quality control audits and shop audits
- Ensure accuracy of documentation generated by employees at Swire CC/vendor shops for all maintenance activities
- Assist in training for all fleet personnel
- Ensure proper disposal and documentation of waste stream items
- Assist fleet personnel in making decisions concerning efficiency of shop operations
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs are performed in a cost effective manner.
- Supervise operations to ensure compliance according to Company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Ensure that parts inventories are maintained at correct efficiency levels. Utilize National Account programs where applicable.
- Coordinate members of all functional areas to ensure that equipment needs are met
- Ensure that all vehicles are prepared for transfer or disposal as needed
- Schedule and assign all PM's and DVIR work orders for assigned locations
- Assist maintaining a fleet tire program with tire vendor and supervisor
Requirements:
- CONA and SAP experience preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driving License
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule if needed
- Must be able to lift and move items in excess of 50 lbs
