Job Overview

The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for service and maintenance on our truck & trailer fleet, scheduling and coordinating major repairs and vehicle inspections with outside service providers

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Coordinate and schedule major repairs and state & federal inspections
• Perform regularly scheduled inspections, diagnostics and road tests on trucks
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory compliance

Skills and Eligibility Requirements Summary

• Valid drivers license deemed insurable by our insurance carrier, D.O.T. medical card required. CDL a plus
• 5+ years experience performing maintenance, inspections, diagnostic and road tests on trucks and trailers
• Must have basic tools
• Experience with parts and service software
• Can work independently
• Verbal and written communication skills required to prepare service orders and to work effectively with vendors and staff
