The Fleet Specialist will report to the Procurement, Logistics, MM Lead (PLMM) and be responsible for managing the fleet activities within the business unit including all vehicles. Trailers, telematics program and manage the relationship and performance of the fleet management provider.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Manage vehicle assignments.
- Manage pool and spare vehicle program.
- Order new vehicles as needed.
- Manage the relationship with our fleet management company and other local business partners.
- Manage the telematics program.
- Approve maintenance requests where necessary.
- Manage our employee vehicle sales program.
- Develop and execute strategies for all of the above to make our fleet process and spend as efficient as possible.
- Previous experience in fleet management strongly preferred.
- Excellent people skills and a customer service mentality
- Understanding of the onshore logistics market (truck freight in particular) preferred
- Attentive to detail and able to balance multiple projects/work streams at once
- Capable of analyzing fleet data
- Experience with Engage, LTMS or similar logistics programs preferrable
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
- Self-starter, motivated to initiate projects / conversations and new ideas in problem solving.
- Demonstrates pro-active, collaborative approach with ability to build positive relationships within department and organization.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work with multiple deadlines.

- The anticipated salary range for this position is $87,100 – $171,700.
