Job Summary
Service and/or repair all mechanical and electronic systems on fleet tractors. Included but not limited to maintenance and/or repair of diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials. Knowledge of heavy-duty electric vehicles is a plus.
Fundamental Job Tasks
- Diagnosis, repair and maintain diesel and electric tractors.
- Perform brake jobs on equipment with drum and/or disc brakes.
- Decision making and problem solving required.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the company.
- Must be able to work night shifts and weekends.
- Other duties as required
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- At least four (4) years' experience in Diesel engine and power train repair.
- Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test.
Required Licenses and/or Certification
- Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record.
