Flame And Gas Detection Technician

We are currently seeking a Flame and Gas Detection Technician to join our team of over 900 of the best fire protection professionals in the industry. This position is based in our Corpus Christi, TX location.

This position is for an experienced Special Hazard/F&G Specialist that has working knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems, Det-Tronics F&G product line and programming, Kidde Fire Systems product line and programming and FM-200 Releasing systems in general and will be the face of Firetrol as far as the client is concerned. Marine F&G experience is a plus. The systems are regulated by the US Coast Guard, Federal Bureau of Safety and Environmental agency. Working safely and conforming to all safety rules and requirements is required/paramount.

Requirements

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must be certified and well versed on the Kidde Aries SLX and Det-Tronics EQP panels.
• Must be familiar with X3301 Flame Detectors configured for hydrocarbons. All of these F&G instruments are monitored and terminated to a Rockwell AADvance Safety Instrumented System analog inputs 4-20mA in a three wire configuration.
• Must be familiar using a HART Handheld communicator (Emerson TREX) to troubleshoot and configure F&G devices.
• Will supervise a crew of two I&E technicians provided by client, maintain all ITM reports in Firetrol & customer format.
• Class A Fire Suppression License required
• Fire Alarm License is a plus
