Position: Assembly Technician - Blubird Methane Detection Nodes
Overview: Earthview is seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept Assembly Technician to join our team at the Dallas headquarters. The primary responsibility of this role is the assembly of Blubird Methane Detection Nodes. This position requires a combination of mechanical aptitude, electronics assembly, computer proficiency, and a commitment to precision in assembling these critical components.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly of Blubird Methane Detection Nodes: Precise and accurate assembly of components following provided instructions and diagrams.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of assembled nodes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, parts used, and any issues encountered during assembly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to address any assembly-related concerns and suggest improvements.
- Inventory Management: Ensure inventory is accounted for and kept in stock while maintaining positive relationships with venders and suppliers.
- Shop Cleanliness: Maintain a clean workspace.
Base Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from Earthview HQ in Dallas, TX.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required (with prior notification from the company).
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills for documentation, inventory tracking, and communication purposes.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand and follow technical diagrams, assembly instructions, and troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality control to ensure accurate assembly of components.
- Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate assembly issues or suggestions for improvements.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Soldering: Proficiency in soldering techniques, including through-hole and surface mount soldering.
- Electronics Assembly and Testing: Experience or knowledge in assembling and testing electronic components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar assembly or electronics-related role.
- Certifications: Any relevant certifications in soldering or electronics assembly would be advantageous.
- Mechanical Skills: Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and maintaining assembly equipment.
- CAD aptitude: ability to utilize Computer aided design software to design parts and improve product
Location: Earthview Headquarters, Dallas, TX
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay Range: $21 – $25 /hr
