Come join our team onsite in downtown Indianapolis to make an impact on member fitness and deepen your industry knowledge! HealthFitness is looking for a Fitness Program Coordinatorat our single location, multi-tenant client site. In this role, you'll assist with the development, planning, coordination, marketing, and implementation of the on-site & hybrid Fitness Program ensuring the highest level of participation and customer satisfaction. You'll teach 5-6 group exercise classes weekly and provide personal training, fitness testing, exercise prescription, orientations, and fitness floor coverage. Free onsite employee parking in private lot.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assist with coordination of all fitness center program activities in accordance with HealthFitness operational, quality, safety and service standards.
• Lead marketing efforts including social media and newsletter to advise members and potential new members of programs, health education activities, and all monthly/quarterly special events.
• Teach group exercise class sessions and deliver personal training. Facility oversight including customer service, opening and closing duties, floor supervision, and light cleaning.
• Research health & fitness educational topics and identify appropriate participant educational materials.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline required and 1+ years related industry experience. 
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering Fitness Programming including marketing and promotions. Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others and work both independently and as part of a small team. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook. Must be able to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard system.
• Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
• Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT, or NETA required within 90 days of hire.
• Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider required within 90 days of hire.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
