Position Summary:
The Fiscal Support Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related fiscal tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws and institution policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives, reviews, and audits documents to ensure completion; verifies codes, calculations authorization and additional required information.
Enter all deductions, taxes, and direct deposit information.
Complete the deduction checks after the payrolls are updated.
Print payroll check, send direct deposit and positive pay to the bank.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of applicable payroll laws and regulations.
Knowledge of computers and software application programs.
Knowledge of customer service techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus two years of bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or a related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience auditing employee timesheets
Demonstrated ability to maintain high confidentiality standards and ability to meet strict deadline requirements.
Exceptional customer service skills and willingness to go above and beyond in working with other departments to provide an exceptional experience for our employees and students.
Ability to perform job assignments with accuracy.

This position is located on the Russellville Campus.
