Firefighter

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team with the City of Henderson Fire Department. As a Firefighter, you will play a crucial role in protecting lives and property by responding to emergency situations and providing assistance in various rescue operations. This is a physically demanding and rewarding position that requires quick thinking, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure.

General Statement of Duties:

To ensure protection to residents and property from fire, extinguish fires, conduct fire prevention and educate the public on fire safety; if certified provide basic life support services at scene of fire.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter Certification

-Texas Department of Health EMT-B or higher emergency medical training is preferred
-Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and public interaction
-Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
-Willingness to work in hazardous conditions and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
