Fire Services Analyst US Citizenship REQUIRED

Position Description:

GI is hiring a Threat Analyst (Fire Services). This position is to support the Fire Services in Northern Virginia through analysis of suspicious activity reporting, production of intelligence products that address Priority Information Needs identified by the Fire Chiefs, facilitation of multi-disciplinary partnerships, and providing regular briefings to Fire Services personnel in the Northern Virginia region.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Facilitate the exchange of criminal, terrorism, and critical infrastructure information and intelligence between the fusion centers and all Fire Services, public safety, homeland security partners, and private industry partners in the Northern Virginia region.
Analyze multi-faceted data in order to show methods, trends, and patterns relating to the Northern Virginia region.
Compile reports and undertake projects relating to Fire Services, including criminal, terrorism, homeland security, cyber, or critical infrastructure issues as needed.
Compile in-depth intelligence products and complete projects relating to criminal activity, terrorism, cyber, or critical infrastructure and provide assistance for special projects in the fusion center as needed.
Provide analysis and training for the Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) program
Serve on the COG Fire Intelligence Subcommittee

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Knowledge of classified and open-source research and data analysis methods and techniques
Ability to collect, assemble, analyze, and evaluate evidence, statistics, and other pertinent information to draw logical conclusions in order to effectively inform protective actions
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a wide range and number of audiences
Experience working with federal, state, and local law enforcement databases
Ability to work extended hours as necessary
Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and criminal investigations
Knowledge in the collection, analyzing, and dissemination of homeland security intelligence information.
Ability to prepare graphs, charts, tables, maps, and other illustrative devices from collected data or visual presentations.
Ability to understand and follow directives, instructions, and standard operating procedures.
College degree in social science, government, business, homeland security, or criminal justice related field and/or analytical experience to include intelligence analysis training.
Experience in Fire/EMS, HAZMAT/explosives response, and/or fire/arson investigation preferred
Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass a county police background check, including fingerprinting, drug screening, and polygraph examination.
Candidates will hold or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Candidates will be available to work any time between 0600 and 1800 hours, with availability to work adjusted hours on weekends or evenings for special events and critical incidents as needed.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $65,000-$120,000.
