You will serve as a Fire Protection Specialist of NAS JRB NEW ORLEANS.Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: : 1)Administering a training program for FIRE PROTECTION and prevention to include structural firefighting, aircraft crash and rescue response, fire prevention, and emergency medical services 2) Developing and submitting a training budget for fire and emergency services 3) Creating and Conducting training courses on fire safety practices and procedures 4) Evaluating performance during training exercises and routine duties to recommend changes to exercise or additional training.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector II, HazMat IC, HazMat Technician, Airport (ARFF) Firefighter, EMT or Paramedic. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
