As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be a viable member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing safety and Fire Protection topics.

As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be a viable member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing safety and Fire Protection topics.
Key Activities
- Create safety concepts for passenger rail vehicles regarding Fire Protection and evacuation
- Create fire risk analysis
- Create specifications for internal and external customers
- Interpret and incorporate local, federal as well as customer requirements into system design
- Define procurement documentation, type testing and commissioning documentation
- Approval of materials, products and components in regards to Fire Protection
- Compiling Fire Protection documentation for regulatory bodies, agencies and customers
- Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines
- Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration
Qualifications
- BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Independent and well-structured working methods for integrating multiple projects, conducting testing and preparing all deliverables associated with the system
- Excellent communication, technical writing, problem solving and teamwork skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Fire Protection in railway, defense, aerospace, automotive or similar industries
- Experience with NFPA 130 is a plus
- Able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative in order to maintain project timelines
- Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
