THE POSITION: The Fire Engineer-Paramedic operates, drives, and maintains pumps and all apparatus to effectively suppress fires, assists with the overhaul, salvage, and cleanup operations at any incident, delivers basic life support (BLS)/advanced life support (ALS) as a Paramedic, answers general questions of the public and provides information and performs related duties as assigned..

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

· High School diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of a state-certified fire academy.

· Two (2) years of full-time professional firefighting experience or firefighting experience as a current volunteer in good standing with the Suisun City Fire Department.

· Possess and maintain a Class C California driver license with firefighter endorsements.

· Firefighter I certification issued by the California State Fire Marshal.

· Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator 1A and 1B certifications are required within the first six months of appointment.

· Possession of a valid Paramedic license.

Pay: $7,616.00 - $9,257.00 per month
