Position Overview
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration for hire list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Fire Department Media Content Assistant (Part-Time) in the Fire Department. The consideration for hire list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs various social media, marketing, and communications-related tasks in support of the Henderson Fire Department; and performs related duties as assigned.
Position Information:
- This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible, position.
- This position will work, on average, 19 hours per week (may be required to work weekends).
- This position does not qualify for benefits, paid time off, or union representation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school, or the equivalent
- Six (6) months experience in social media, public outreach, community involvement, communications, or closely related experience
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license as defined by NRS 483
- Desirable: Experience in fire services, emergency services, or law enforcement
- Desirable: Six (6) months experience in video editing and production
