Fire Alarm Technician
We are looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to primarily service Fire Alarm systems in commercial and enterprise level projects in the Nashville area. You will perform some installation/inspections/testing/troubleshooting and mainly performing service while documenting issues. Applicants for this position should have prior experience with Notifier, Firelite, Silent Knight, EST or similar systems. You should also be knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72 and having NICET certification(s) are a huge plus!
Fire Alarm Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install or upgrade Fire Alarms in commercial and residential buildings
- Test and repair alarm systems already in place
- Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code
- Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues
- Respond to emergency service calls
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Be able to pass background/driving record check and drug screen
Fire Alarm Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- NICET certification preferred (requires prior experience or training)
- Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus (including 70 and 72)
- Troubleshooting and service skills
- Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation Package:
- Hourly pay ranging from mid $20/hr to $30+/hr
